Man rescued after venturing into S.F.’s Lake Merced on Saturday

San Francisco firefighters rescued a man who was reportedly “clinging to rocks” at Lake Merced, the San Francisco Fire Department said in a post to X on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred off of Harding Road at Skyline Boulevard around 5:20 p.m., according to SFFD spokesperson Jonathan Baxter.

By the time of the post at 6:38 p.m., fire officials said that the man was being “closely assessed” by paramedics, and would be transported to a local hospital for further evaluation of “non-life threatening injuries.”…
