A person died in a fiery solo car crash on an Oakland highway Wednesday morning, shutting down lanes for several hours, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers responded to a report of a car crash on the northbound lanes of Highway 13, just north of Interstate 580 in East Oakland, right before 3:20 a.m. and found a 2013 Audi A6 engulfed in flames, said CHP Officer Adib Zeid.
The driver was found dead inside the vehicle, Zeid said. Investigators believe the driver left the roadway and collided with a tree. The driver was not immediately identified…
