Daly City mom who served as getaway driver from homicide scene pleads no contest: DA

(KRON) — A mother pleaded no contest after she helped her son flee from a Daly City homicide scene and hide from police, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.

Zaib Un Nisa Afridi, 50, of Daly City, changed her plea from “not guilty” to “no contest” in court this week. Her 21-year-old son, Maarij Afridi, is charged with murdering a custodian who worked in a gym.
