(KRON) — An injured mother duck and her ducklings were rescued from a median on Clayton Road in Concord earlier this month.
The Concord Police Department received a call on Aug. 3 for a mother duck hit by a car, sitting on the roadside with her ducklings.
“When officers arrived, they found the determined mom still putting up a fight — and all of her ducklings safe and sound,” Concord PD said. “With a brief lull in calls for service, our officers stood guard to protect the little family until help could arrive.”
