SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Six people, including a minor, were detained after an Oakland home was raided by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on Tuesday, according to attorney Nikolas De Bremaeker. ICE agents raided a home in the area of 79th Avenue and Hillside Street in East Oakland.
De Bremaeker, an immigrants’ rights managing attorney for Centro Legal de la Raza, is working the case on behalf of the detainees. According to the attorney, the minor detained is 17 years old, and another detainee is described as one with a severe disability.
ICE agents knocked on the door of the Oakland home, and someone answered the door, De Bremaeker said. The agents entered and arrested the people living at the house.
