The directors of a San Francisco arts nonprofit with deep ties to former Mayor London Breed resigned this month, leaving at a pivotal moment for a Black cultural hub that has faced scrutiny over its handling of city funding.
Melonie and Melorra Green, the co-directors of the African American Arts and Culture Complex, or AAACC, stepped down Aug. 15 after eight years leading the organization, which operates a city-owned cultural center in the Fillmore neighborhood.
