Oakland streets takeover by dirt bikers results in one injured

A person was injured on Sunday during a street takeover by more than 100 people riding dirt bikes, the Oakland Fire Department said.

The fire department responded at about 8:20 p.m. Sunday to reports of someone injured. When firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with a scene of about 100 people in and around the intersection of Brooklyn and Lakeshore avenues.

Fire officials told the Chronicle that the injured person was transported to Highland Hospital at about 9 p.m. Sunday. A spokesperson for the department said the cause and extent of the person’s injuries is unknown…
