Sep. 9—A group of hospital workers are resigning from the only emergency room in their rural California county amid administrative plans to close the facility this fall after being stripped of federal funding.

The closure of Glenn Medical Center, located north of Sacramento in remote Glenn County, is expected to happen as soon as next month.
