San Francisco fielded 34 applications from the Bay Area and beyond for its police chief job as of the deadline to apply this week, according to the headhunting firm facilitating the search.
While the names of the applicants are closely guarded, one fact is clear: The city’s interim top cop, Paul Yep, isn’t among them, he told the Chronicle.
