3 injured in Berkeley after string of hit-and-runs, attempted carjacking: police

Berkeley police are investigating after multiple people were injured in a series of hit-and-run incidents Tuesday morning involving pedestrians, before an attempted carjacking.

The suspect then allegedly did a U-turn and came back up the sidewalk, revving his engine and hitting a woman jogging. The witness said she bounced off the windshield and saw her somersault through the air.

The driver then turned the corner onto Derby Street and hit a bicyclist, who was also badly injured…
