Oakland police are investigating the shooting death of a woman in East Oakland on Monday evening.
Officers were sent to the 1400 block of 87th Avenue in response to reports of a shooting and an alert from the city’s automatic gunshot detection system that occurred shortly before 6:15 p.m. Monday, police said.
When they got to the area, officers found a 29-year-old Oakland woman who had been shot at least once. She was declared dead at the scene, according to police. Her name wasn’t released…
