A woman who was thrown to the floor of a Muni train Wednesday after it suddenly accelerated and barreled past a stop said she got a concussion from the impact.
Naaley Khounpaseuth said her commute from the Outer Sunset to a law firm in the Financial District had been normal for about the first 20 minutes. She boarded the N-Judah train at the La Playa stop shortly after 8 a.m., claiming her favorite seat in the last car and watching the Sunset and Cole Valley neighborhoods fly by through her window.
But as the train pulled away from Carl and Cole streets, it abruptly picked up speed, exiting the Sunset Tunnel at what seemed, to Khounpaseuth, like maximum velocity. Making a tight turn it hit a curved section of track, and the vehicle appeared to tilt, she said…
