Back-to-back storms battering California with map showing worst impacted areas

The Bay Area is expected to receive a massive influx of rain towards the end of September, with most of it set to fall on the North Bay area.

The San Francisco region’s rainy season is usually thought to be between November and March, but it looks like it’s arriving a little early this year.

Forecasters say this is the first true widespread rainfall of the season. Two back-to-back storm systems are predicted to pass over the Bay Area.

According to the National Weather Service, the region has a 40 percent chance of rain from Monday after 11 a.m., with increasing rain on Monday night and again Tuesday evening. Additionally, winds from the south could gust up to 15 mph, risking travel delays on bridges and along coastal highways…
