Attorneys for a man charged with vehicular manslaughter in a 2020 New Year’s Eve crash that killed two pedestrians are pushing to spare him from prosecution and divert him into drug treatment.
On Friday, San Francisco Superior Court Judge Michael Begert is expected to consider Troy McAlister’s eligibility for Drug Court, though Begert’s final say on whether to divert the case is expected at a later date.
