SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KRON) — A dog was not injured after falling from a cliff at Fort Funston Tuesday while chasing a bird, said the San Francisco Fire Department.

SFFD announced the cliff rescue on its social media account at 3:12 p.m. and that firefighters were at the scene.
“Rescue technicians will be setting up a system to safely perform the rescue,” said fire officials.
Officials updated at 5:23 p.m. that the dog was successfully rescued and reunited with its owner.
