A pedestrian was struck and killed Wednesday morning in downtown San Rafael after being hit by a vehicle while crossing a marked crosswalk, police said.
The collision occurred around 10:26 a.m. at the intersection of Second and A streets, where emergency calls reported a pedestrian down in the roadway. Officers, who were nearby, arrived within seconds and began life-saving measures.
