Four of the top 10 richest people in the world reside in one of the Bay Area’s nine counties, according to Forbes 2025 Billionaires List. The list, released annually since 1987 and updated in real time, tracks over 3,000 billionaires worldwide. We analyzed the top of this list to find the 20 richest people that reside in the Bay Area, according to Forbes.

The richest person in the Bay Area is Oracle Founder and CTO, Larry Ellison, whose net worth was $341 billion as of October 2025. His residence is in Woodside, along with two other billionaires on this list. There are a few popular spots for the wealthiest billionaires, including six who reside in San Francisco, three in Palo Alto and two in Los Altos. Palo Alto is home to the second richest person on the list, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who has a net worth of over $256 billion.
