Americana singer-songwriter cancels San Francisco show, tour after ‘violent assault’

Americana singer-songwriter Todd Snider has canceled his national tour after what his representatives described as a “violent assault” outside his Salt Lake City hotel over the weekend.

Snider, 59, had just started a 14-date run in support of his latest album, “High, Lonesome and Then Some,” when the incident occurred, following his opening show in Colorado.

In a statement posted Monday, Nov. 3, to his social media accounts, Snider’s team said the musician suffered “severe injuries” and will be unable to perform “for an undetermined amount of time.”…
