Nov. 5 (UPI) — Waymo is under fire by officials from San Francisco after an autonomous Waymo vehicle killed a neighborhood cat nicknamed KitKat.
City and county leaders in one of California’s biggest metropolises aim to author legislation to put a check on Waymo’s driverless vehicles.
“Waymo thinks that they can just sweep this under the rug and we will all forget, but here in Mission, we will never forget our sweet KitKat,” San Francisco city supervisor Jackie Fielder said Monday.
