Yesterday in Petaluma, a report of violence jolted the otherwise quiet neighborhood on Lindberg Circle. The Petaluma Police Department was alerted around 2:04 AM of a disturbance, which later escalated into a stabbing incident. According to the Petaluma Police Department, the local authorities, dispatchers were in contact with the male victim as he disturbingly revealed he had been stabbed in the neck. Officers accompanied by Petaluma Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene to find the man wounded but alive, suffering from a non-life-threatening injury.
The subsequent police investigation led to contact with Catherine Vasquez, a 28-year-old resident of San Francisco, who was promptly arrested at the scene. The incident seems to have followed an argument, which turned dangerously violent as Vasquez reportedly took up a knife against the man.
