The reimagining this week of a drab and gray San Francisco parking lot into a green and vibrant town square took about two hours to pull off.
Three trucks came roaring up to Cosmo Place on Wednesday afternoon and out popped urban garden expert Flora Grubb with 350 potted trees, shrubs, plants and flowers. As she arranged them, another truck arrived with 30 bright yellow Adirondack and cafe chairs to place at bright blue circular tables.
