Caltrans will begin the 19th Avenue Rehabilitation Project on Monday, December 1, 2025. The project will start at Sloat Boulevard and move north toward Lincoln Way in its first phase.
The work will repave all six lanes of State Route 1 (19th Avenue) between Lincoln Way and Holloway Avenue. This covers 18.8 lane miles. The intersection at 19th Avenue, Park Presidio Boulevard, and California Street will also be resurfaced. Phase 2 will repave all lanes from Holloway Avenue to Lincoln Way in spring 2026.
