A man was arrested Wednesday evening after allegedly injuring two University of California police officers with a weapon, officials said.
Just before 8 p.m., university police were called to the area near the Greek Theatre on UC Berkeley’s campus for a report of a man “acting aggressively” with a “knife or metal object,” police said in a statement Thursday. Officers found the man carrying “sharp-edged weapons” but said he did not listen to their commands and continued to walk toward the South Campus neighborhood.
Police continued to follow the man and used a Taser and pepper spray, according to the statement, but both methods were “ineffective.” The officers then used foam baton rounds, the statement said, which also did not subdue the man…
