Killer convicted of murdering young horseback rider in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Nearly half a century ago, a 15-year-old girl left her sister’s house in San Francisco to go horseback riding in Golden Gate Park. Marissa Harvey never returned on March 27, 1978.

A group of surfers found Marissa’s lifeless body hidden in brush at Sutro Heights Park less than 48 hours later.
