Just weeks after a Japanese supermarket announced its expansion into the East Bay, another Asian grocery giant has revealed its plans to triple down in the Bay Area.
T&T Supermarket, the largest Asian grocery chain in Canada, is planting roots on the Peninsula, just minutes from SFO, according to a news release. The 52,000-square-foot store will be located in Friendship Plaza at 95 Murchison Drive and 135-143 South El Camino Real in Millbrae.
In addition to groceries and specialty private-label products like soup dumplings and green onion pancakes, the supermarket is slated to feature a sushi counter.
