A recent incident involving a dog being hit by a car at the intersection of Lafayette and Washington has sparked a debate on pet safety and responsibility. The event was witnessed by a resident from an apartment above, who documented the incident on social media. According to the account, a woman unleashed her dog at the corner of the intersection, and the dog, appearing skittish, ran into the park and eventually into the street. A Tesla car, slowed down due to the commotion, hit the dog as it darted out from behind parked cars. The dog, fortunately, seemed to be okay after the incident.
