BART confirms reports of pepper-spray incident

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) has confirmed an incident where pepper spray was released at its Montgomery station in San Francisco Tuesday afternoon.

“We have reports of pepper spray that was discharged. The train was swept, taken out of service as a precaution for the health and safety of our passengers,” said BART in a statement to KRON4.

There were minor train delays at the BART Montgomery station as a result, according to the transit agency.
