(KRON) — A woman who was allegedly beaten to death in Oakland last week was identified by police Wednesday as Meili Liu.
Liu was violently assaulted at a home on Schyler Street around 9 a.m. on November 21, police said. Someone drove the victim to a hospital before officers arrived at the homicide scene. Liu was declared deceased at the hospital.
The Oakland Police Department said officers arrested her suspected killer, 50-year-old Marion Chesher, and booked him into Santa Rita Jail. Liu and Chesher were reportedly in a dating relationship…
