South San Francisco apartment fire leaves one dead, officials say

An early-morning fire in a South San Francisco apartment building left one person dead Monday.

The South San Francisco Fire Department said crews were dispatched at 4:08 a.m. to 564 Baden Ave. following reports of smoke and an activated alarm.
