Santa Clara County prosecutors charged a teenager with attempted murder and assault with a semi-automatic firearm in connection with a shooting that injured three people at the largest mall in the Bay Area on Black Friday.
Prosecutors, who are seeking to try the teenager as an adult, said the boy fired six times at a perceived gang rival during an argument at Westfield Valley Fair mall in San Jose just after 5:30 p.m. The male victim was shot in the chest and two other people — a woman and a 16-year-old girl — were injured by stray gunfire.
All three victims were treated at local hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries…
