S.F. woman was strangled to death in Ingleside break-in, prosecutors say

The banging and screaming were so loud that the neighbor who lives behind Jessica Sanchez Landaverde’s home thought an earthquake struck San Francisco around 6:30 on the morning of Nov. 23. Sanchez Landaverde’s neighbors didn’t call 911. Nine hours later, Sanchez Landaverde was found strangled to death in her home.

Details about the killing of Sanchez Landaverde were revealed in court documents prosecutors filed ahead of the arraignment of Cassidy Wyatt Allen, who was charged with murder and residential burglary, as well as a special-circumstance allegation that the murder occurred during the commission of a burglary.

Allen, 45, pleaded not guilty on Tuesday. If convicted of the charges, Allen could face life in prison…
