This San Francisco marvel is 2 inches tall. You can buy it for $15 million

Just 2 inches tall, a miniature Frida Kahlo painting from a San Francisco gallery was among the most expensive items for sale at Art Basel Miami Beach, an international contemporary art fair that started Friday.

A pocket-size 1938 painting by the Mexican artist titled “Autorretrato en miniatura” (“Miniature Self-Portrait”) was on sale for $15 million, according to the Weinstein Gallery. It had not sold as of Saturday afternoon.

The gallery, located on Clementina Street in the South of Market, brought the miniature portrait to the show as part of its “Dreams Across Borders” exhibition, a survey of Surrealism paintings and sculptures by more than a dozen artists…
