San Francisco Cable Car Horror Leaves 15 Injured

Fifteen people have been injured by the abrupt stop of a cable car, according to the San Francisco Fire Department. One of the iconic public transportation cars jolted to a halt, leaving more than a dozen people with injuries, and two were immediately taken to the hospital. The cars were first introduced in the 1870s and are a major tourism draw for the Bay Area city. They lack seatbelts and are often ridden by passengers who hang out the sides.
