(KRON) — It’s been nearly 17 years since Oscar Grant was shot and killed on the Fruitvale BART station platform. On New Year’s in 2009, the young Oakland man was shot by BART police.
A movie was made about it called “Fruitvale Station,” starring Michael B. Jordan and directed by Ryan Coogler. Grant’s mother is understandably emotional during the holidays.
