SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A pair of powerful winter storms that are expected to bring high winds, rain, thunderstorms, and even possible tornadoes, is barreling toward the Bay Area. The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for coastal areas and a wind advisory for interior areas.
The warnings kick in at 4 p.m. Tuesday and will last through 4 a.m. Wednesday. Southerly winds of 30 to 40 mph are expected with gusts of up to 65 mph possible along the coast.
