Another storm is set to hit California — in time for New Year’s Eve. Here’s the timeline

Yet another storm is headed to California, and every corner of the state is forecast to be wet on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day.

The storm isn’t shaping up to be as extreme as last week’s, but the wet weather could still impact New Year’s festivities one way or another.

Tahoe’s fresh snow will get soaked by rain, Pasadena’s oft-sunny Rose Parade could be exchanged for rumbles of thunder and San Francisco may wind up wet as the clock strikes midnight on 2025.

Bay Area: Showers to ring in 2026

Tuesday’s increasing clouds will signal changes to come. Rain is on tap Wednesday. Showers will begin in the South Bay and Peninsula in the morning before widespread rain overspreads the entire Bay Area throughout the afternoon.

It won’t be a complete washout, but rain is likely during New Year’s Eve festivities and could dampen fireworks viewings. Jackets will come in handy for those heading out. A chance of showers will stick around through New Year’s Day…
