Over the recent holiday weekend, a chaotic scene unfolded in a hotel parking lot in South San Francisco, where police employed drone technology to quell a large brawl. According to a social media post from the South San Francisco Police Department, the encounter involved more than 30 individuals and swiftly escalated into violence.
Before ground units could arrive, the department’s Drone as First Responder (DFR) was launched and managed to reach the scene quickly. The drone captured live footage, spotting the large group as they engaged in the fight and continued to track multiple subjects who were attempting to flee.
