(KRON) — The woman who went missing in the Sierra Nevada while hiking the Codfish Falls Trail in Placer County Friday is 40-year-old Eryn VanAcker of the Bay Area, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office told KRON4 News.
VanAcker was last seen hiking along the North Fork American River with her dog around 2:30 p.m. She was reported missing after her dog was found wandering the trail alone.
The search and rescue team with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office began looking for VanAcker around 6 p.m. Friday. Rescuers found the woman’s phone and a dog bowl near the river’s edge. As of Monday afternoon, she remains missing…
