ICE operation arrests 101 illegal alien truck drivers in California

SAN FRANCISCO, California — ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) San Francisco and HSI Los Angeles, in collaboration with federal partners, have concluded Operation Highway Sentinel, resulting in the arrest of 101 illegal alien truck drivers on California highways. The operation was initiated in response to multiple fatal accidents caused by illegal alien drivers, according to ICE.

The operation targeted trucking companies in central and northern California suspected of engaging in criminal activities, including human smuggling, labor trafficking, narcotics trafficking, cargo theft, and fraud. “Gavin Newsom’s sanctuary state policies are costing American lives,” said ICE Deputy Director Madison D. Sheahan. Sheahan criticized the issuance of commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs) to illegal aliens, which she claimed led to dangerous driving incidents across the country.
