A band of prominent local restaurateurs is cooking up a special culinary mash-up to kick off The City’s forthcoming Lunar New Year celebrations.
House of Nanking chef Kathy Fang has joined forces with Evan Kadera and Gil Payumo of Senor Sisig to host a pop-up at the latter’s Thrive City location to commemorate the holiday. Their three dishes blend House of Nanking’s Shanghainese menu items with Senor Sisig’s Filpino-Mexican fusion flavors — special egg rolls, nachos and tacos will be on offer.
The three business owners say their endeavor will be a holiday curtain-raiser that allows them to share personal traditions while increasing excitement for a special time of year.
