SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — CVS Pharmacy has announced plans to close another San Francisco location. The pharmacy chain confirmed to KRON4 that it would be shutting the location at 701 Van Ness Street on Feb. 24.
According to CVS, all prescriptions at the location will be transferred to the nearby CVS location at 1059 Hyde Street. Employees will also be offered comparable roles at other locations within the company, CVS said.

“Maintaining access to pharmacy services in the communities we serve is an important factor we consider when making store closure decisions,” a CVS representative told KRON4. “Other factors include local market dynamics, population shifts, a community’s store density, and ensuring there are other geographic access points to meet the needs of the community.”
CVS gave no reason for the closing of the location. With the Van Ness store’s closure, there will only be eight remaining CVS locations in all of San Francisco…
