San Francisco Zoo ‘swamped’ with shirt orders after visit from K-pop group Twice

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Zoo said that it’s “swamped” with orders for a vintage-style shirt sold at its gift shop after the K-pop group Twice posed in the shirt while visiting the zoo earlier this month.

Photos of the group wearing the shirt were posted to social media earlier this week. Twice visited the zoo while in town for a pair of shows at the Oakland Arena on Jan. 17 and 18.

“We were so excited when Jihyo, Jeongyeon and Mina, members of the K-pop group Twice, visited SF Zoo recently, and it looked like they had a great time!” the SF Zoo wrote on social media. “We were also surprised that the group posted images wearing our popular vintage-style SF Zoo T-shirt, and thanks to you, it’s become a ‘thing!’”

The zoo is now selling the shirt on its website due to increased demand, it said. The zoo is selling the shirt on pre-sale for $27.99 for adults and $24.99 for children sizes…
