SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Whether it’s due to Bernie Sanders vilifying them or Elon Musk simply being Elon Musk, billionaires tend to get a bad rap these days. Now a mysterious group has appeared online that apparently wants to push back on that — or possibly to poke fun at billionaires threatening to leave California over a proposed billionaire tax.
The group has launched a website and social media accounts announcing a “March for Billionaires” on Saturday, Feb. 7 in San Francisco. The march is set to begin at 11 a.m. in SF’s ritzy Pacific Heights neighborhood before heading down Fillmore Street to eventually finish with a rally at City Hall.
The march calls on people to “Stand up for the entrepreneurs, innovators, and risk-takers!”

“Vilifying billionaires is popular. Losing them is expensive,” the website goes on to say. “Most made their fortunes building companies that employ thousands and solve real problems. Their wealth is largely stock in those companies, not vaults of cash.”…
