Two teens arrested in fatal SF shooting of 15-year-old Jayda Mabrey

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Two teenagers have been arrested in the fatal shooting of Jayda Mabrey, a 15-year-old girl who died of gunshot wounds in San Francisco’s Western Addition Friday. Jayda was shot along with two other people near a playground near Golden Gate Avenue and Laguna Street Friday evening.

The San Francisco Police Department said officers responded to the scene at around 5:13 p.m. and found Jada and two other suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim, who was later identified as Jada, suffered life-threatening injuries.

She was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The other two victims, according to SFPD, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The SFPD Homicide Detail took over the investigation and identified two suspects.

On Monday, SFPD developed probable cause to arrest two suspects: a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old. Both were booked into the Juvenile Justice Center for homicide. Due to their ages, police will not be releasing their identities…
