ASHLEY, Ind. (WFFT) — Acres Away Winery celebrated a significant achievement by winning three awards at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. This event is one of the largest and most respected wine competitions in North America.
Owner Shane Christ expressed his delight, saying, “We sent three wines and took home three medals and I’m incredibly flattered.” The winery’s First Light, an estate-grown sparkling wine, and Acres Away White, a locally grown aromatic blend, both secured silver medals. Their estate-grown dry red, Norton, received a bronze medal.
