Northern California residents planning to spend the Valentine’s Day weekend outdoors or in the mountains should check the weather before heading out, as the region is expected to be hit by multiple storms starting on Sunday.
The National Weather Service’s radar captured multiple storms approaching next week, which are expected to bring abundant rain to the Bay Area and snow to the northern mountains, significantly impacting travel.
“Going into the weekend, the weather is going to be largely quiet with cooler conditions. But it does appear that things will become more active as we venture, especially the latter half of the weekend,” said Lamont Bian, a meteorologist with NWS Bay Area. “What we’re seeing is just the overall large-scale pattern shifting in weather.”…
