With a three-day weekend ahead, Bay Area travelers have their first opportunity in several weeks to enjoy fresh snow in Tahoe. However, drivers hoping for an easy trek may need to cut their trips short to avoid an incoming snowstorm.
“Our message is that if you do have to travel this weekend, try to make it Sunday night at the latest,” National Weather Service meteorologist Justin Collins told SFGATE. “Because then once Monday rolls around, that storm is closing in, and so conditions will get pretty bad.”
