Two arrested, 24 cars seized in Oakland sideshow probe
The Oakland Police Department announced that two people were arrested and 24 vehicles were seized after a month-long investigation by the Sideshow Reduction Team. Early on February 13, 2026, officers with help from the US Marshals Task Force served search warrants in Hayward, Stockton, and Pittsburg, taking two sideshow organizers into custody for felony warrants linked to a January 17, 2026 event.
The large sideshow took place at five locations across Oakland between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., involving about 100 vehicles and 200 spectators. Vehicles connected to the event were found in 14 Bay Area cities and towed with a 30-day hold. Police say more organizers have been identified and investigations continue.
