Hotaling & Co., the maker of Junipero gin and Old Potrero whiskey, will be closing its distillery located at Pier 50 in San Francisco at the end of the month.
The San Francisco-based company, formerly known as Anchor Distilling Company, separated from Anchor Brewing and Distilling when it was sold to Sapporo in 2017. (The brewery closed in 2023 and was purchased by Chobani yogurt billionaire Hamdi Ulukaya in 2024, but has not reopened.)
Hotaling confirmed that the entire distilling team was laid off, but declined to specify the number of employees affected…
