SFPD announces $25K reward increase in 2001 homicide

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Police Department announced on Wednesday that it has authorized a $25,000 increased reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in a homicide case dating back nearly 25 years. The reward now totals $175,000.

SFPD said on June 18, 2001, Paula Brien was found dead near the 400 block of Harriet Street. Police said Brien was last seen leaving a bar near 6th and Mission Streets with an unknown man driving a red vehicle. No arrests have been made.

The person of interest is described as a Caucasian male, between the ages of 35-40 years old. He is believed to weigh about 200 pounds, with dark brown hair and deep-set eyes, according to police.
